Montclair School Board Election: Dunn, Deysher, Silverstein In Lead

MONTCLAIR, NJ — New Jersey voters cast ballots in races across the state on Tuesday, including the contest for the Montclair Board of Education. Polling places closed at 8 p.m.

In Montclair, voters got to cast ballots for the local board of education. There were nine candidates running for three seats on the school board (each term last for three years).

School board members are non-partisan and unpaid.
The candidates were Alex Binkley, Stuart Ball, Kimberly Robinson Santos, Allison Silverstein, Melanie Deysher, Phaedra Dunn, Will Novak, Jessica Glass and Theodore Graham.
With 97.56 percent of districts reported, Dunn, Deysher and Silverstein are leading the race. Here are the uncertified results as per the Essex County Clerk's Office (three open seats):
- Alex Binkley – 1,441 votes (7.93%)
- Stuart Ball – 1,065 votes (5.86%)
- Kimberly Robinson Santos – 2,506 votes (13.80%)
- Allison Silverstein – 3,147 votes (17.32%)
- Melanie Deysher – 3,188 votes (17.55%)
- Phaedra Dunn – 3,523 votes (19.39%)
- Will Novak – 693 votes (3.81%)
- Jessica Glass – 1,127 votes (6.20%)
- Theodore Graham – 1,476 votes (8.13%)
