Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Gage is one of the most caring and giving people I have ever known. He has worked tirelessly for children with Cerebral Palsy. His brother, Shea, has Cerebral Palsy and plays for the USA 7-side CP National team. Gage has volunteered every weekend for the last 9 years to coach and play soccer with children with CP. Gage has traveled to upstate NY to coach at CP Soccer sleepaway camp since its inception 5 years ago. In addition to his numerous volunteer hours, Gage has trained to become one of NJ best kicker/punters. He has played in every Montclair HS Varsity football game for the last 4 years. He holds the MHS kicking record for most field goals made, 3 year Special teams MVP , All County, All Conference honors. He is most proud of being awarded the Steve DeGregorio Man of the Year award for MHS. Gage also was MHS Scholar Athlete for Montclair High Football team. Gage will take his 4.3 GPA and kicking skills to Wesleyan University to kick next year for the Cardinals.
