Montclair Therapist/Rabbi Will Speak About Personal, Spiritual Change
Rabbi E. Noach Shapiro will be speaking about 'Torah and Transformation: The Dynamics of Change' at Bnai Keshet on Apr. 22.

From Bnai Keshet: Rabbi E. Noach Shapiro will speak about “Torah and Transformation: The Dynamics of Change” at Bnai Keshet’s Kaplan Minyan on Saturday morning, April 22. The Kaplan Minyan, which meets in the Red Gables historic house across the parking lot from the synagogue’s main building, begins at 10:30 a.m. with selected songs and readings.
According to a news release, through the prism of text and tradition, Rabbi Shapiro and the group will explore the nature of personal and spiritual change or transformation. Key questions include: “What inspires and drives change? What inhibits it? What wisdom does our tradition offer to spark and nourish our transformational journeys?”
As a rabbi and therapist, Rabbi Shapiro explores the powerful nexus of spiritual, therapeutic and psychodynamic work, all toward personal, communal and even cosmic transformation.

The Bnai Keshet Kaplan Minyans are named for Reconstructionist Judaism founder Mordecai Kaplan, who sought to create a Jewish framework for discussions of ethics, culture, history and current events. They are designed for people who enjoy a communal Shabbat and want to enrich their understanding of Jewish peoplehood in an alternative, less traditional setting.
Bnai Keshet, an inclusive Reconstructionist synagogue serving the Greater Essex area, is located at 99 So. Fullerton Ave., Montclair. For more information, visit www.bnaikeshet.org/event/kaplanminyans.
