NJ 'Star Student' Volunteers At Toni's Kitchen In Montclair
Sofia, a 9th-grader who volunteers at Toni's Kitchen in Montclair, is one of many "star students" across New Jersey.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students in New Jersey, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
One such person? Sofia, a 9th-grader who volunteers at Toni's Kitchen in Montclair.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
Sofia is compassionate, caring, loving and loyal with outstanding leadership [abilities]. She’s an honor roll student at Mary Help Christian Academy in North Haledon. Shes cares and demonstrates character and is a humble citizen. She volunteers her time at the Toni's Kitchen in Montclair, and is a counselor and motivator to her peers. She is one outstanding person inside and out.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?
She’s a beautiful person inside and out and such a great role model, counselor and motivator to her peers.
