NJ Youth Choirs Will Back Up Famous Rock Band At 2 Montclair Concerts
Foreigner is coming to Montclair for a pair of concerts, and they'll be getting backup vocals from two high school choirs in North Jersey.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — Legendary rock band Foreigner is coming to Montclair for a pair of concerts, and they’ll be getting backup vocals from two high school choirs in North Jersey.
Foreigner will be playing shows at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair on Thursday, Dec. 11 and Friday, Dec. 12.
The band will be playing their best-selling album, “Foreigner 4,” in its entirety at both shows. Original lead singer Lou Gramm will be performing.

Two local high school choirs will be singing with the band at the Wellmont shows on their hit, “I Want to Know What Love Is.”
The Youth Chorale from Essex County (Dec. 11), and the Cicely Tyson Performing Arts School from East Orange (Dec. 12) will each receive a $500 donation for their choir program from Foreigner, a spokesperson for the band said.

Foreigner was elected to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 2024. The upcoming tour will celebrate the band’s induction – and their chart-topping, five-decade-long music career.
