Orange Road in Montclair Closed Due to Construction

Milling and paving work has closed Orange Road today, prompting Montclair Police to urge drivers to avoid traveling in the area near Orange Road northbound.

“Construction has closed Orange Road northbound between Bloomfield Ave. and Church St. and will require a detour of traffic until 4 p.m.,” Montclair Police stated. “Please use North Mountain Ave. or South Park St. as an alternate route.”

The milling and paving work is currently being constructed on Orange Road, at Washington Ave., Orange Road at Linden Avenue, and Orange Road at Granada Place near 301 Elm Street.

The roadwork will be conducted by paving contractor Roman Asphalt Corp., who will be performing the milling and paving in the areas where PSE&G installed gas mains.
