Oratorio Society Will Perform ‘Carmina Burana’ In Montclair
The Montclair-based Oratorio Society of New Jersey will perform Carl Orff's epic masterpiece Carmina Burana on April 26.

The Montclair-based Oratorio Society of New Jersey (OSNJ) will perform Carl Orff’s epic masterpiece Carmina Burana on Saturday, April 26 at 8 p.m. at the Central Presbyterian Church, 46 Park Street in Montclair.
Under the direction of Artistic Director Dr. Sandor Szabo, the OSNJ will be joined by an orchestra and distinguished soloists including soprano Chelsea Friedlander, tenor Samuel Rosner, and baritone Bryan Murray. Dr. Szabo is a well-known, highly respected and prolific musician who directs several musical groups in the New York metropolitan area’s classical music community.

Dr. Szabo remarks, “Orff’s Carmina Burana is a compelling piece which is easy for audiences to understand and enjoy. The OSNJ singers, joined by stellar soloists and orchestra, will undoubtedly deliver an excellent performance at our concert.”
OSNJ President Peter Braley notes that “The Oratorio Society of New Jersey consists of over 70 dedicated and highly skilled volunteer singers, who truly reflect the state, with over 30 towns represented among our membership. Our members are eager to share this much-loved work with our audience.”

Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door: they are selling fast! Doors open at 7:30 p.m. for the 8 p.m. performance – please arrive early due to General Admission seating.
