PHOTOS: Hoopla Surrounding Katy Perry

A stage and all the supporting gear, including tents and trucks, were parked in front of the Hollywood & Highland Center Tuesday afternoon in California for a Katy Perry concert and the premiere of her new movie. (Check out Montclair Patch later this week for a review of the film.)

Passing by the popular tourist destination, Patch spotted Perry rehearsing for her concert. The show was scheduled for 5 p.m., according to a security guard.

All lanes of Hollywood Boulevard between Highland Avenue and Orange Drive were closed through Wednesday at 4 a.m. for Katy Perry's Part of Me premiere and concert.
