Police Locate Suspect in Montclair Hit-and-Run

A 68-year-old West Caldwell woman was struck while crossing Bellevue Avenue, in front of the Bow Tie Bellevue Theater, in Montclair on Saturday, Feb. 14, authorities said.

The driver of the vehicle did not stop and fled the scene, according to baristanet.com. The woman complained of right hip pain, but refused medical treatment, the website said.

Montclair Police ultimately located the driver, a 50-year-old man, and issued him three summonses for failure to yield to a pedestrian crosswalk, leaving the scene of an accident and failue to report an accident.

Police told baristanet.com the names of the victim and the driver have not been released.
