Power Goes Out For Thousands In Montclair: PSEG
It may be a while before the electricity comes back for some Montclair residents. See estimated restoration times here.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — The power went out for thousands of PSE&G customers in Montclair on Monday, a situation that may linger until Tuesday morning for some residents.
According to PSE&G’s online map, there were scattered power outages at several locations in Montclair as of 6 p.m.
The largest was located on Columbus Avenue between Christopher Street and Grove Street, which began at 5:22 p.m. and affected 2,125 customers. The estimated restoration time for that outage was 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The cause was still under investigation.

Multiple smaller outages of less than five customers were reported throughout the township, with restoration times estimated between 9:30 p.m. on Monday, and 8:30 to 9 a.m. on Tuesday.

Electricity was also out Monday evening in the nearby town of Glen Ridge.
"Power is out on the west side of Ridgewood Ave and all side streets leading into and bordering Montclair residents," the Glen Ridge Police Department stated.
Power was also out from Cambridge north to Watchung Avenue, and on the west side of Forest Avenue between Watchung Avenue to Yantecaw Avenue.
"This power outage is due to a primary transformer being taken down by a tree in the town of Montclair," authorities said. "PSE&G is currently aware and is working to restore the power."
No estimated time of restoral was immediately available.
