NJ-27 Primary Election Results: Bagolie, Collazos-Gill Win Democrat Race, AP Says

NEW JERSEY — A statehouse race in New Jersey’s 27th District reached it first major fork in the road on Tuesday when voters went to the polls for the 2025 primary election.

The 27th District includes the municipalities of Livingston, Millburn, Montclair, Roseland and West Orange in Essex County. It also includes the town of Clifton in Passaic County.

Two Democratic lawmakers in the New Jersey Assembly are up for re-election this year: Alixon Collazos-Gill and Rosy Bagolie. Meanwhile, two challengers tried to wrestle the nomination away from the incumbents: Rohit Dave and Blake Michael.

The Republican candidates – Robert Iommazzo and Adam Kraemer – each ran unopposed.

The winners of the primary will advance to the general election on Nov. 4, which will also include any third-party or independent candidates.

The Associated Press has called the Democratic race for Collazos-Gill and Bagolie. Here are the uncertified results, according to the AP (via NJ Spotlight News):

DEMOCRATS (vote for two, 70% of votes counted)

• Rosy Bagolie – 12,203 votes (33%)
• Alixon Collazos-Gill – 12,656 votes (34.3%)
• Rohit Dave – 5,875 votes (15.9%)
• Blake Michael – 6,189 votes (16.8%)
