Severe Thunderstorms Possible In Montclair
Heavy rain, lightning, and some power outages are expected today.
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for much of New Jersey and Sandy Hook today with storms expected through early afternoon.
In Montclair, the skies were dark at 8:30 a.m. and power outrages were reported along several streets, including Inwood Avenue.

As of 7:55 a.m., the National Weather Service said there is a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing quarter size hail and damaging winds of 60 mph. The storms are moving from Colonia to Trenton, or along a line extending from Perth Amboy to Trenton, and moving east at 30 mph.
The weather service requests that people report hail or strong winds by calling 1-877-633-6772.
