T-Rex to Visit Montclair Public Library Saturday
The 15-foot animated dinosaur will be there at 2 p.m. on June 16.

Field Station: Dinosaurs’ 15-foot animated T-Rex is touring libraries of North Jersey and his next stop is the Montclair Public Library at 50 South Fullerton Avenue on Sat., June 16 at 2 p.m. Dinosaur handlers and troubadours will also be on hand to sing fun dino-songs.
T-Rex is one of more than 30 interactive or animatronic dinosaurs featured at Field Station: Dinosaurs, an interactive outdoor Jurassic learning destination now open in Secaucus. Visitors will go back 90 million years with more than 30 full-sized animatronic dinosaurs, puppet shows staring the T-Rex, a dig site and interactive educational games and workshops along a .75 mile trail nestled near the Snake Hill prehistoric rock formation adjacent to Laurel Hill Park.

Field Station: Dinosaurs is a new family attraction that combines cutting-edge science with the creative minds of great artists and teachers to create a one-of-kind experience that's thrilling, educational and fun, according to a press release.
Set against the natural backdrop of the New Jersey Meadowlands and nestled at the base of a 150 million year old rock formation, the Field Station is an oasis of natural wonder just nine minutes from New York City. Over 30 life-sized, realistic dinosaurs (including the ninety foot long Argentinosaurus, the largest animatronic dinosaur ever made) come to life thanks to the brilliant engineering of the world's leading roboticists and the imagination of our artists.

The story of the dinosaurs is presented on 20 acres of wild, unpredictable woods, mysterious pathways, and mountain trails. Scientists from the New Jersey State Museum have worked to ensure that the exhibition encompasses the latest theories and discoveries in the fields of paleontology, geology, and environmental studies. Workshops, games and activities connect the story of the dinosaurs to our world today, giving new relevance to their lives and power to the tale of their extinction.
Field Station: Dinosaurs is now open through mid-November. Hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. weekends only until June 20. Hours June 21-September 4 are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. daily.
