The Most Colorful and Fascinating Species, Topic of Montclair Bird Club Meeting
Longtime club member discusses animals he's encountered on trips to Central and South America.
An enthusiastic birder and amateur naturalist with a particular interest in reptiles and amphibians will kick off the 2013-14 season of the Montclair Bird Club with a talk based on his many trips to Central and South America.
Longtime Montclair Bird Club member Alex Bernzweig will present “Introduction to the Tropics” on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 7:30 p.m., at Union Congregational Church, 176 Cooper Ave., Montclair.
Bernzweig will discuss various herps, insects, and birds which he encountered on his travels, which include the humid lowlands of Costa Rica and Peru known for some of the most colorful and curious species on the planet.

The Montclair Bird Club meets on the second Wednesday of each month, except December, July and August. The meetings are free and open to the public.
