Ian and Tiffany Agkpo set up and manned a lemonade stand on Saturday, June 23, a few days after finishing 3rd grade at Edgemont Montessori School.
In May, the students had been asked to write a class essay on how to help the Montclair Community Pre-K without raising taxes. It's the same sort of issue the Township Council grapples with all the time. The students provided their ideas to the mayor during a field trip to the Montclair Township Offices.
One of the ideas was to do more fundraising events. So when the school asked the students which local charity they wanted to give to, they said the Montclair Community Pre-K. They raised a total of $50.50.
