WBGO Kids Jazz Concert Series Comes to Montclair

The WBGO Jazz 88.3 Kids Jazz concert series continues Saturday, Oct. 12 with the Courtney Bryan Ensemble featuring Brandee Younger presenting "Spirituals and the Roots of Jazz" at the Montclair Art Museum.

The ensemble will lead an educational sing-along of Negro spirituals for the children and will use music to demonstrate the historical ties between the spirituals and jazz.

Tickets will be handed out in the lobby of the venue on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the performance. Doors open at noon.

The concerts are free and open to the general public. Adults must be accompanied by a child. Seats cannot be guaranteed. 

The Montclair Art Museum is located at 3 South Mountain Ave., in Montclair.
