Montville Runners Safe After Boston Marathon Bombing
One participant from the township was a half-mile from completing race, another had already finished.

Two Montville Township women who were running in the Boston Marathon Monday reported they were safe after deadly explosions were reported near the finish line.
"I'm fine, I'm safe," township resident Michele De Vito said when reached by phone.
De Vito was a half-mile from finishing when the race was stopped because of the explosions, she said. De Vito, who has proposed holding a marathon in Montville, was trying to contact people to let them know she was all right.

Montville resident Laura Hingle finished the race around 2:15 p.m., and was back in her hotel when people started rushing out of the hotel to check on their loved ones, her husband, John Hingle, said. When she looked out a hotel window, the finish area already had been evacuated, he said.
