The Boonton-based S3 Agency will donate its advertising, public relations, and social media services to the Butler-based CHD Coalition.

BOONTON, N.J.– The Boonton-based S3 Agency launched a new philanthropic program, S FREE, and will the provide Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) Coalition with free creative services, according to a press release from the organization.

“We are floored by the number of inspiring organizations that applied for S FREE,” says Denise Blasevick, founding partner and CEO of The S3 Agency. “It was a difficult task to choose just one, but after an
agency-wide vote, the Congenital Heart Defect Coalition emerged as the clear winner.

"We look forward to helping increase awareness for this meaningful charity.”

Last month, S3 launched S Free, "a quarterly initiative designed to provide the award-winning creative

agency’s services free of charge to organizations that are too small, too new, or too non-profit to pay for them," the press release states.

According to the Butler-based CHD Coalition, congenital heart disease is the number one birth defect, affecting 1 in 100 babies born in the United States.

The organization focuses on uniting and supporting the CHD community, increasing public awareness, and raising money for lifesaving research, its website states.

“We are honored to have our wish fulfilled by S3,” said Mike Laub, Executive Director, CHD Coalition. “When parents discover that their child has a life-threatening condition, they can feel alone – without hope and fearing the future. That’s where we come in. We are committed to research but have been seriously underfunded due to a lack of widespread national awareness. S FREE will help give us the tools we need to get to the next level and help even more people in the CHD community.”

The S3 Agency created S FREE to be a quarterly program, allowing the agency to donate its advertising, public relations, and social media services to four different organizations per year, according to the release. Eligible organizations must be located in N.J. and have less than $1,000,000 in annual revenue or fundraising, the release states.

The next application period begins in January 2017.
