MONTVILLE, NJ — There will be increased police presence at Lazar Middle School on Wednesday after a non-credible threat was found in a bathroom, superintendent René Rovtar said in emails and phone calls home to parents.

A "suspicious message" was found written on a bathroom wall on March 15, and included the date "April 3rd," Rovetar said. "This incident was thoroughly investigated by the Montville Township Police, with input from the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, and it was determined that the message did not pose a credible threat," she said.

School will be in session with an increase police presence for "added safety," Rovetar said.
