BASKETBALL CLINIC for students in Grades 5-8

The Montville Recreation Department is sponsoring a BASKETBALL CLINIC for students in Grades 5-8.

Want to be a part of a fast-paced, fun, and exhilarating sport? You can by participating in the game of basketball. Big Shot basketball clinics emphasize a fundamental-based and informative environment while instructing your child through various skill development drills, friendly competitions, and game-like scrimmages. This clinic is appropriate for beginners and experienced players. This is a once-a-week co-ed basketball clinic where the basic skills and fundamentals of basketball are taught, emphasizing fun and learning. All participants will be grouped by skill level and proper competitive balance to allow your child to continue to develop as a basketball player. There will be a focus on FUN! With games and drills being taught in a new and exciting way, participants will improve their basketball skills and experience the joy of the game. This program will emphasize having fun and promoting a love for basketball.

Program takes place at the Montville Community Outdoor Basketball Courts #’s 1 & 2 located at 130 Change Bridge Road in Montville.

Clinic runs on Thursdays: September 8, 15, 22, 29, October 6 & 13 from 3:45pm to 4:45pm.

Mr. Jake Weisz of The Big Shot Ballers’ will supervise the program. He was a two-year varsity starter at Montville High School and played collegiate basketball at Montclair State University.

The cost is $120.00 per person for the 6 (six) week program.
