• Montville Secures Housing Immunity, Protects Open Space, and Bids Farewell to Longtime Committee Member (tapinto.net) — Montville’s Township Committee has secured court protection from “builder’s remedy” lawsuits by approving a settlement to meet the state’s latest affordable housing mandates, preserving local zoning control. Officials also used the year’s final meeting to buy strategic open space, delay a costly new water plant bond, discuss transparency concerns, and honor longtime committee member Rich Conklin as he steps down.
