• Montville Police Investigate Pair of Early Morning Residential Burglaries (tapinto.net) — Montville Township police are investigating two early-morning residential burglaries on Lancaster Avenue and Changebridge Road, both involving multiple masked suspects and pried-open windows. Residents are urged to lock doors and windows, watch for suspicious vehicles, and report any tips to the Montville Township Police Detective Bureau at 973-257-4300.
   

• Five in custody after stolen Audi pursuit in Morris County, police say (wrnjradio.com) — A low-speed police pursuit of a stolen Audi that began in East Hanover ended in Montville Township early Thursday, where five occupants fled on foot before being captured with help from multiple agencies. Montville officers assisted in the search and arrests, which included two 19-year-olds and three juveniles. One suspect was found after jumping into a pond, and charges were filed in East Hanover.
   

• NJSIAA wrestling power points and preseason ratings for the 2025-26 season (nj.com subscription) — New Jersey wrestling fans can now track NJSIAA team power points on NJ.com, with preseason ratings already out for every section. Montville’s boys team opens ranked 12th in North Jersey, Section 1, giving local fans an early sense of how the Mustangs stack up before matches begin.
