1 Killed, 4 Injured In High-Speed South Jersey Crash: Report

The juvenile driver lost control of the car and veered off the road, killing a 19-year-old and injuring the driver and three passengers.

PEMBERTON, NJ — One person died and four others were injured in a high-speed, single car crash on a South Jersey road Sunday night, according to a report.

The driver, a juvenile, was heading north on West Lakeshore Drive in Pemberton at 11:30 p.m. when they lost control of the car, according to a report by NJ Advance Media. The vehicle veered off the right side of the road, rotating and striking a guide wire to a utility pole, a tree and the utility pole before coming to a rest near Broadway, Pemberton police told the outlet.

Rear passenger Tymeria Nelson, 19, of Princess Anne, Maryland, died from her injuries, according to the report.

Another rear passenger suffered critical injuries, including to her liver, and was hospitalized, the report said.

The driver, a 20-year-old front seat passenger and another rear passenger received minor injuries, according to the report.
