The Citizens Crime Commission is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a Burlington County man’s murderers.

Louis Sweet, of the 700 block of Lakehurst Road, Pemberton Township, was confronted outside his home the night of Sept. 24 by multiple masked gunmen, who then shot him, according to authorities. Sweet was taken to Deborah Hospital in Pemberton, where he was pronounced dead less than an hour later.

Several people were inside the home when the shooting occurred, including Sweet’s children. No one else was wounded, though a dog inside the residence was struck by a bullet that entered the home, authorities said.

The Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office, along with the Citizens Crime Commission—a Philadelphia-based nonprofit—are seeking the public’s help for information on Sweet’s murder. The Commission has offered the reward for information leading to an arrest.
