A/C Thieves Arrested, Third Suspect Sought: Police
Mount Laurel Police arrested a pair of township men for stealing air conditioning units from a shopping center in September.
Mount Laurel Police arrested a pair of men—and are searching for a third—for allegedly stealing air conditioning units from a Creek Road shopping center in September.
According to police, Christopher A. Simons, 24, of Timberline Drive, and Marc R. Johnson, 31, of Hemlock Lane, both of Mount Laurel, stole eight units from the shopping center. Both men were arrested on Oct. 16.
Johnson was charged with theft and conspiracy and released pending a municipal court hearing. Simons was charged with theft and conspiracy to commit theft—as well as additional charges for the alleged theft of air conditioning units from homes on Coral Avenue, West Wood Lane and Rancocas Boulevard—and lodged in Burlington County Jail on $15,000 bail.

Police also filed charges against Christopher P. Chester, 30, of Marlton, for theft and conspiracy to commit theft for assisting Simons with some of the air conditioning thefts, according to a report.
Chester is still at large and encouraged to turn himself in. If anyone has information regarding Chester’s whereabouts, they are urged to call the Mount Laurel Police tipline at 856-234-1414, ext. 1599.
