Big, Gooey Cookie Bakery Expanding To South Jersey
The chain is known for enormous cookies and a rotating menu of different flavors.

MARLTON, NJ — Big, gooey cookies are on their way to South Jersey.
Chip City — a chain that makes enormous, extravagantly flavored cookies — inked a lease for a Marlton store.
The company began as a passion project between two childhood friends in Queens, New York, who set out to recreate the flavors of their youth. That friendly challenge led Peter Phillips and Teddy Gailas to develop the first Chip City location.

Chip City's cookies measure about 4 inches across and 6 ounces each, with flavors ranging from traditional chocolate chip to rotating options such as Chocolate Chip Cretzel — a croissant fused with a crunchy pretzel and stuffed with chocolate chip cookie dough.
Different types of cookies rotate in and out each week.

They now have about 45 locations, including one in Philadelphia and three in North Jersey.
A new store is coming to the Marlton Commons shopping center. Chip City hasn't said when it's expected to open, but it's slated to be the first in South Jersey.
"We couldn’t be more excited to join the Marlton Commons community," Chip City CEO Peter Phillips said in a statement. "There’s something really special about bringing our cookies to a new neighborhood, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone through our doors."
Chip City also ships nationally through Goldbelly.
Marlton Commons is located at 307 Route 70 W.
