April 24

Shoplifting, 4:09 p.m. — Two men tried to shoplift $30 worth of cough syrup from Wegmans, police said. The merchandise was recovered after they were caught by management, but the two subjects left the area before police were notified.

Fraud, 5:39 p.m. — A customer used two counterfeit $100 bills to purchase merchandise at Wegmans, police said.

Theft — A FedEx package containing a Kindle Fire, valued at $69, was stolen from the front door of a residence on the 3500 block of Chadbury Road, police said.

April 26

Theft, 2-4 p.m. — Someone stole a $500 sewing machine from Jo-Ann Fabrics on Centerton Road, police said.

Burglary (Holiday Village), 6-10:50 p.m. — A burglar forced open the back door of a home on the unit block of Avandale Court and stole $5,000 worth of jewelry, according to police. Damage to the door is estimated at $100.

April 27

Arrest (drug possession), 1:50 a.m. — Police arrested Rita S. Perez, 23, of the 600 block of Jackson Street, Philadelphia, and Quintin A. Talley, 24, of the 1000 block of Lambert Drive, Westampton, after Talley was stopped on Saxony Drive for a motor vehicle violation, according to a report. Perez and Talley were each charged with possession of marijuana (under 50 grams), possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a hypodermic syringe. Talley was also charged with possession of stolen prescription blanks and Perez was additionally charged with hindering her own apprehension, police said. Bail was set at $7,500 for Talley and $5,000 for Perez. Both were committed to Burlington County correctional facilities in lieu of bail.

Theft, 1:30-2 p.m. — A vehicle key, valued at $245, was stolen from an unlocked room at Castle Windows on East Gate Drive, according to police.

April 28

Theft from vehicle (Stone Gate) — Police said someone stole sports equipment, a GPS and other miscellaneous items—valued at $220—from a vehicle on the unit block of Moorfield Court. The theft occurred between 11 p.m. April 27 and 5 a.m. April 28. There was no sign of forced entry to the vehicle.

Theft (Devonshire Village) — Someone stole a lawn sprinkler valve and pipe, valued at $50, from outside a residence on the unit block of Boothby Drive, police said. PVC pipe was damaged to remove the sprinkler pieces, causing an estimated $10 damage. The theft occurred sometime between 12 p.m. April 20 and 12 p.m. April 28.

April 29

Theft — Police said $3,750 worth of jewelry was stolen from a room at Homewood Suites on Nixon Drive. There was no sign of forced entry to the room.

April 30

Arrest (hindering) — Police arrested Ephraim F. Clairizier, 28, of the 100 block of Falls Terrace, Union, after he was found standing in traffic in the area of Route 73 and Interstate 295, according to a report. Clairizier was charged with hindering his own apprehension for outstanding warrants, tampering with records and falsifying government records, He was lodged in Burlington County Jail on $12,500 bail.

May 1

Criminal mischief (Brentwood) — Several vehicles on Teddington Way, Wembley Drive and Stratton Lane were damaged overnight between April 30 and May 1, according to police. Five vehicles had windows broken and a sixth was keyed. Total damage was estimated at $2,250.

Criminal trespass/theft — Copper grounding plates were stolen off a cell phone tower on the unit block of Elbo Lane sometime during the month of April, police said. The plates are about 2 feet long, 6 inches wide, and a half-inch thick, and are valued at $700 each. Seven plates were stolen from various companies at the site, which is secured by a chain-link fence topped with barbed wire, police said. Damage to the wiring was estimated at $2,000.

Criminal trespass/theft — Two more copper grounding plates, valued at $1,000 each, were stolen from a cell phone tower on the unit block of Wave Road, police said. The thefts occurred sometime in April. The site is secured by a chain-link fence topped with barbed wire. Damage to wiring was estimated at $500.

Arrest (DWI), 11:31 p.m. — Police arrested Michael Genevie, 31, of the unit block of Quickset Road, Levittown, PA, after he was stopped for driving in the wrong direction on Larchmont Boulevard, according to a report. Genevie was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing.

May 2

Arrest (possession of marijuana, hollow-point bullets), 3:58 p.m. — Police arrested John J. Marold, 34, of the 400 block of Virginia Trail, Browns Mills, after he was stopped for motor vehicle violations on Route 38, according to a report. He was subsequently charged with possession of marijuana (under 50 grams) and possession of hollow-point bullets and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Arrest (disorderly conduct), 10:16 p.m. — Police arrested Shante S. Sedeno, 35, of the unit block of Victoria Court, Mount Holly, for disorderly conduct after police responded to Miller’s Ale House on Fellowship Road for a disturbance, according to a report. She was released pending a municipal court hearing.
