Farmers Market Returns To Moorestown As Burlington Co. Kicks Off Preseason

The first preseason market will take place this weekend.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — While many seasonal farmers markets wait for the warmer months, the Burlington County Farmers Market is about to kick off its preseason.

The first preseason market is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Burlington County Agricultural Center (500 Centerton Rd., Moorestown).

Burlington County first held preseason farmers markets last year, giving local farms and vendors the chance to sell their products before the weekly farmers market season begins in May.

This year's preseason markets will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 8, March 22, April 12 and April 26.

Vendors expected on Saturday include Cherry Grove Farm, Davidson Mushrooms, Hoja Farm, Little Hooves Romneys, Mill Creek Apiary, Pinelands Produce, Recklesstown Distillery, Windy Farm Alpacas, Scallop Shack, Armageddon Brewing, Cheese Etc., Flourish Bakery, Humble Spud, The Soup Bar, Mom Mom’s Polish Foods, Louis Organics, Tis So Sweet, Wild Flour Bakery and Zaddy’s Roast Sandwiches.

The "regular season" market will run weekly on Saturdays from May 10 through Nov. 22.

The county market also enters the season with some bragging rights after being voted New Jersey's top farmers market. It was also voted third in the Northeast in American Farmland Trust's annual contest.
