MOORESTOWN, NJ — The Burlington County Farmers Market will enter its new season with some national acclaim.

The market, which gets fully underway on May 10, placed fourth in the USA Today 10BEST Readers Poll of the best farmers markets in the country.

Not bad, considering there are more than 8,600 registered farmers markets in the United States.

"The Burlington County Farmers Market has long been a favorite spot for shoppers across the county and beyond and now all of America knows how great it is," said Dr. Felicia Hopson, the county commissioner director. "This is fantastic honor, and we are excited to share the news and congratulate the market’s staff, volunteers, farms, vendors and entertainers who work together to make the market such a success."

Now in its 19th season, the Burlington County Farmers Market has grown each year. Since early March, local farms and vendors have been selling their goods at bi-monthly "preseason" markets.

The regular season begins with the traditional Opening Day/Spring Garden Theme Market from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 10. Subsequent markets will be held the same hours every Saturday, rain or shine, through Nov. 22.

The Burlington County Farmers Market takes place at the County Agricultural Center (500 Centerton Rd., Moorestown). Find more info here.
