Burlington County At 'Very High' Risk For COVID-19 Transmission
The risk of transmission of COVID-19 in Burlington County remains "very high" amid a recent spike in cases.
BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — The risk of transmission of COVID-19 in Burlington County remains "very high" amid a recent spike in cases, according to the New Jersey Department of Health's latest COVID-19 activity level report, which is released weekly.
"Very high" risk means that there are more than 25 coronavirus cases for every 100 people. All but three counties in New Jersey are considered to be at "very high" risk, with the exceptions coming in Atlantic, Cape May and Cumberland counties.
As of Friday, there have been 92,975 coronavirus cases and 1,058 coronavirus-related deaths since the pandemic began in March 2020. This is an increase of 5,200 cases and 18 deaths since last week, when there had been 87,775 cases of the coronavirus and 1,040 coronavirus-related deaths.

Burlington County is opening two new testing clinics, at the Blue Barn Recreation Center in Evesham and at Rowan College of Burlington County in Mount Laurel. They supplement the county's existing testing site at Burlington County's Willingboro Town Center Testing Site, where close to 1,000 tests a day are now being administered, officials said. New Jersey recently opened a COVID-19 vaccination megasite in Mount Laurel in response to widening vaccine eligibility, including children ages 5 to 11 and those who qualify for booster shots, including children ages 16 and 17.

The Burlington County Health Department runs clinics four days a week at fixed clinic sites. No appointments are necessary. The clinics run on the following schedule:
- Mondays from 2-6 p.m. at the Burlington County Emergency Services Training Center, 53 Academy Dr., Westampton (drive-thru clinic).
- Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Palmyra Community Center, 30 West Broad, Palmyra.
- Wednesdays from noon to 4 p.m. at the Weimann Building, 400 Delanco Road, Edgewater Park.
- Thursdays from 3-7 p.m. at the Bordentown Township Senior Center, 3 Municipal Dr., Bordentown.
Vaccines are also available at pop-up clinics, which are held every Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Virtua Mobile Grocery Store, 181 Norcross Lane in Pemberton, and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Virtua Mobile Farmers Market, 795 Woodlane Road in Westampton.
The Deborah Heart and Lung Center runs a walk-in vaccine clinic on Wednesdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Deborah Medical Office Building, 6 Earline Avenue in Browns Mills.
