Car Smashes Through Store In Moorestown

MOORESTOWN, NJ — A vehicle rammed through a Moorestown store and heavily damaged the building on Thursday.

The car smashed through the rear of RunningCo. of Moorestown around 4:20 p.m. and traveled across the store, leaving piles of broken glass and debris in its path.

One person was brought to the hospital for evaluation, according to the Moorestown Fire Department.

An employee was present but wasn't injured, store owner Dave Welsh said on social media. But the store sustained significant structural damage and will be closed for quite some time.

It wasn't immediately clear what caused the crash.

RunningCo. of Moorestown is part of South Jersey Running Company — a regional chain of running shoe stores. The other locations are in Haddonfield, Medford and Mullica Hill.

The Moorestown store is located 115 W Main St.
