Eighty-three-year-old William Coggins has been charged with murder in the violent death of his wife, Laura Coggins, last week.

An 83-year-old Cinnaminson man brutally stabbed his wife to death in their home last week before attempting to commit suicide, according to authorities.
William Coggins, of 820 Westfield Drive, has been charged with murder in the death of his wife, 81-year-old Laura Coggins, whose body was discovered last Monday by Mr. Coggins’ brother in the bathroom of the home she and her husband shared, according to a release from the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office.
Cinnaminson Police arrived at the home—in a 55-and-over community—just after 11 a.m. and found Mrs. Coggins’ body, authorities said. She was fully clothed, with multiple stab and slash wounds to her body. Police soon found Mr. Coggins, who also had stab wounds to his torso and lacerations on his arms. He had called his brother, who first discovered Mrs. Coggins’ body.
