'Code Blue' Weather Emergency Until Tuesday In Cinnaminson Area

Temperatures Monday night will be at 31 degrees or below, and there is a freeze warning for the county until 9 a.m. Tuesday.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — A drop in temperature has prompted Burlington County health officials to issue a Code Blue from 7 p.m. Monday until 7 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Temperatures Monday night will be at 31 degrees or below, and there is a freeze warning for the county and nearby parts of South Jersey until 9 a.m. Tuesday. The county issues Code Blue declarations when weather conditions pose a threat of serious injury or death to those people without shelter.

Commissioner Felicia Hopson said officials are encouraging all those in need of help to reach out.

“Our Code Blue sheltering program is ready and we don’t want anyone to have to spend the night outdoors or in unsafe conditions," said Hopson, who is the liaison to the Burlington County Health Department and county Department of Human Services.

The county provides short-term shelter in various locations to people who need it during a Code Blue declaration.
