Future Of Moorestown Mall Focus Of Upcoming Meeting

MOORESTOWN, NJ — A public meeting will be held Monday at 7 p.m. at Moorestown Mall to discuss the future of the building, the township's mayor said.

"This meeting will give Moorestown residents and others a chance to learn firsthand about future plans for the mall," Township Mayor Nicole Gillespie told Patch. "Representatives from [mall owner Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust] will provide an overview of their vision for the mall."

The meeting will also include presentations from Bel Canto (the company that previously said it would establish residential housing at the mall) and Cooper University Health (the organization that announced plans to turn the former Sears building into a health care facility), according to Gillespie.

A public question and answer session involving the presenters will also take place, she added.

The meeting will be inside the mall, next to the Cooper barricade (the former Sears interior mall entrance), according to the township. Sears closed its doors at its Moorestown Mall location in 2020, as previously reported by Patch.
