2 other people were seriously injured after a car struck the guardrail and then hit another vehicle, authorities said.

FLORENCE, NJ — Two people, including an 8-year-old girl, were killed in a crash that also seriously injured two women Sunday night in Burlington County, authorities said.

It happened at 10:17 p.m. on Interstate 295 North in Florence Township, said Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron, a State Police spokesperson.

A Hyundai Santa Fe struck the right guardrail, re-entered the roadway and hit a Hyundai Tucson, Lebron said. Both vehicles ran off the roadway to the left and struck multiple trees.
