Lazy Dog Restaurant To Open In Moorestown

The Rocky Mountain-inspired eatery, with locations in 8 states, is projected to open in 2025.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The former location of Don Pablo's will get new life, with Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar planning to open in Moorestown.

Lazy Dog's restaurants are designed to feel like a Rocky Mountain Wyoming escape, with lodge-like furnishings and artwork reminiscent of the Cowboy State. With about 40 eateries in eight states, Lazy Dog will open its first New Jersey location in Moorestown.

The restaurant will take over the former site of Don Pablo's on Nixon Drive and is set to open in 2025. Don Pablo's closed the location in 2018, a year before the Tex-Mex chain ceased operations.

Lazy Dog's menu focuses on "comfort food with a twist" that highlights seasonal ingredients, according to the restaurant. Unique selections include the BBQ bison meatloaf and the spaghetti squash and beetballs, which features vegetarian meatballs. Patrons can also take home "TV dinners," which are made in-house but frozen in retro-style trays.

Moorestown's restaurant will span 9,354 square feet, accommodating 190 guests indoors and 60 outside. A large outdoor patio with a firepit will be built.
