Memorial Announced For Burlington County Police Officer, Airman
Military honors will follow the service of 31-year-old Brian Lucykanish, a Pemberton police officer who died suddenly Feb. 2.
PEMBERTON, NJ — Family and friends are remembering a 31-year-old Burlington County police officer and U.S. Air Force veteran who died suddenly last week.
Brian A. Lucykanish, a Marlton resident, died Feb. 2 according to the Pemberton Township Police Department, where he was a patrolman. Police have not released his cause of death; a CBS3 report said he died in a car crash while off-duty.
Previously, Lucykanish was a Burlington County Sheriff's Office deputy from 2017-2020 while remaining in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, where he served as a Technical Sergeant with the 512th Security Forces Squadron based at Dover Air Force Base, according to his obituary at Weber Funeral Home in Riverton.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial visitation on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 10:00-11:45 a.m. at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Riverton, per the obituary. A memorial service will be at noon, and military honors will follow the service.

Lucykanish, a native of Palmerton, Pa., lived in Marlton for the past seven years. He and his wife Kirstin (Adams) had five children: Ava, Brantley (d. 2017), Waylon, Katie, and Jameson, according to his obituary.
In lieu of flowers, fonations to benefit his children's future education may be made out to Kirstin Lucykanish, and mailed to her attention in care of Weber Funeral Home (112 Broad Street, Riverton, NJ 08077), the funeral home said.
Lucykanish enlisted in the Air Force immediately after high school, joining the Security Forces. He served multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, his obituary said.
He is also survived by his parents Heidi and Chris Lucykanish and his siblings — Christopher Lucykanish and his wife Jordan, Daniel Lucykanish, and Stevie (Lucykanish) Urban and her husband RJ.
