Child's Memory Lives On Through Dedication Of Moorestown Field In His Honor

'Full Throttle Field' takes its name from Jack Casey Hannon, whose infectious passion for sports continues to inspire.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Jack Casey Hannon displayed an infectious enthusiasm in competition that was best described as "full throttle." The young athlete's memory will live on through the dedication of a Moorestown field in his honor.

Jack was a "super fan" of baseball and football. He was a warrior in competition and his teammates' greatest cheerleader. And while he wanted to win, he was excited just to play.

Jack died on Aug. 2, 2021 — just 15 days before he would've turned 6. Next month, Moorestown will hold a ceremony to dedicate "Full Throttle Field" in Jack's memory.

The dedication will take place at 6 p.m. Sept. 27 at Memorial Field (254 S Church St., Moorestown).

"He was a jolt of energy and love to all who knew him," the township said in the event posting. "The hope is that Jack's enthusiasm and love of baseball lives on through all that play there."

After his death, the Jack Hannon 'Full Throttle' Fund set out to help Jack's loving spirit live on through charitable projects that bring joy to children.

The initial goal was to fund a state-of-the-art field in Moorestown for Wiffle Ball. Organizers hope that Full Throttle Field brings many fun-filled hours of play for local children. Find out more here.
