Moorestown Man Stabbed Dad During Dispute, Police Say

Twenty-year-old Jonathan Flannery was charged with aggravated assault in the incident.

A 20-year-old Moorestown man faces up to 10 years in state prison after allegedly stabbing his father in the neck following a dispute, according to police.

Moorestown Police said Jonathan Flannery has been charged with two second-degree of aggravated assault, as well as one count of possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, stemming from the incident last week.

Police responded to the unit block of Bramley Road around 10 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, following an abandoned 911 call from a residence there. When officers arrived, they found Flannery's parents, who had been involved in a dispute with their son, which had become physical.

Flannery's father sustained a stab wound to the neck, police said. He was taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. 

Flannery had fled the scene on foot before police arrived, but was located in the neighborhood a short time later and taken into custody, according to police. He was charged and lodged in Burlington County Jail on $10,000 bail.
