Moorestown Residents Sound Off on Snow Plowing

How have the roads in your neighborhood fared during the blizzard? Find out what your neighbors said on Facebook.

Winter Storm Jonas brought between two to three feet of snow to New Jersey causing approximately 90,000 power outages and coastal flooding in the southern part of the state.

As of Monday, the State of Emergency has been lifted, power has been restored to most of NJ and bridges and tunnels to New York City have been reopened.

Still, hundreds of New Jersey school districts announced closures and motorists are warned to drive with extra caution.

We asked Patch readers if they were happy with the plowing done on their block. Here’s what you said:

  • “Can we get some love in the cul-de-sacs?“
  • “Absolutely not. Moorestown strands its citizens. For the amount of taxes we pay, this is unacceptable. I could understand a six-inch storm, but leaving 20 inches on even tertiary roads is unsafe. Plows should’ve been running through the night.”
  • “Considering the amount of snow they’ve had to deal with I think they are doing a great job.”
  • “Just an FYI - there are about 21 township employees that do the plowing for the whole town, give them some time. ”
  • I wish people would stop complaining. These men worked nonstop, they didn’t sleep, they weren’t in the comfort of their warm homes with their families etc.”
  • “Every year it snows, Schooley Street is always forgotten. Everyone is getting stuck because there was no plowing.”
  • “Live on Main Street! No problems except being plowed in. Small price to pay I guess.”
