Moorestown Woman Treasured Time With Family

Gertrude Florence Uschmann (nee Engelhard), age 96, of Moorestown, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Philadelphia, PA, and spent her younger years in Germany before moving back to Moorestown, NJ, in 1954. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening, taking walks and exercising, but most of all she loved the time spent with her family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Kurt Uschmann and her brother Norman Engelhard. Gertrude is survived by her children, Irene Uschmann and Richard Uschmann and his wife Beth; her grandchildren, Lauren Washburn and her husband Andrew, and Elizabeth Uschmann; her great granddaughter, Olivia Washburn; her sister, Irmgard Schoellkopf, her sister-in-law, Ursula Engelhard, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Service and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association https://www.alz.org/.
