MTC Hosting 'Footloose' Screening and Auditions

The Moorestown Theater Company will perform the classic '80s musical in July.

If you like Footloose—minus Kevin Bacon—the (MTC) has a treat for you this weekend.

In anticipation of its main stage production of Footloose in July, the theater company is having a special screening of its 2004 production of the classic ‘80s musical Saturday at .

MTC artistic director Mark Morgan said the idea behind the screening is “just to get people excited about the show.”

The screening starts at 5:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

Auditions for Footloose will be held at 7 p.m. April 1 and 2 for performers 6 and up, also at Hope Church.

, Morgan said, “This is the first year we’ve ever repeated a show.”

In May, the theater company will put on a children’s production of The Jungle Book. Auditions for the Rudyard Kipling classic will be held at 4 p.m. March 26 and 27 at Hope Community Church for first through sixth graders.
