The late Franco Harris won four Super Bowls, appeared in nine Pro Bowls and made the catch known as the 'Immaculate Reception.'

MOUNT HOLLY, NJ — An immaculate NFL legend received immaculate recognition from the South Jersey town where he grew up. Mount Holly unveiled a new street sign Tuesday for Franco Harris, the late Pro Football Hall of Famer who was a standout athlete for Rancocas Valley Regional High School.
During his NFL tenure from 1972-84, the running back won four Super Bowls with the Steelers. He appeared in nine Pro Bowls and made the catch known as the "Immaculate Reception." But before the pros, Harris grew up across the street from his alma mater in Mount Holly.
Harris died Dec. 20 at age 72.

Last week, township officials unveiled a street sign denoting "Franco Harris Way" on Ridgeway Avenue by Rancocas Valley High School. Ceremony attendees included members of the Harris family, former Rancocas Valley teammates and NFL athletes.
Mount Holly's Town Council previously issued a proclamation declaring Dec. 23 as Franco Harris Day in the township. The date marks the anniversary of Harris making the Immaculate Reception in 1972 — a catch that's widely regarded as one of the greatest plays in NFL history.
