A number of local veterans from World War II up through the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan visited Moorestown High School this week for the school's annual Veterans Day program.

The veterans who attended are members of the local community, including American Legion Post 42, Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge, Dix- McGuire AFT No. 60, and servicemen currently serving in the Army Reserve and National Guard.

The school held an assembly in the athletic center Monday morning to recognize these veterans—several of whom are relatives of students and staff, as well as the school's own staff members—and reflect on their sacrifice.

The program was run by student officers and photography students took pictures during the assembly, which the school shared with Patch.
