Police: Thief Steals Equipment from Girls' Softball Team
Also, police arrest two for possession of imitation firearms.

April 11
Theft — A guest of the Hotel ML, 915 Route 73, told police someone stole four center lug nut covers, worth $180, from his vehicle while it was parked in the hotel parking lot. The theft occurred between 9 p.m. April 10 and 9:35 a.m. April 11.
Arrest (burglary), 1:35 p.m. — Police arrested Shawn M. Stickney, 27, of the 3800 block of Route 38, Maple Shade, following an investigation into the burglary of a residence on the 200 block of Meadow Drive on Feb. 25. Stickney was charged with burglary and theft and committed to Burlington County Jail on $70,000 bail.
April 12
Burglary, 3-8:30 p.m. — Someone broke into a home on the first block of Meadowrue Drive by removing a window screen and opening an unlocked window, police said. Once inside, they stole an undetermined amount of money.
April 13
Credit card fraud — Police said approximately $1,400 in fraudulent credit card purchases were charged to a Pemberton resident’s credit card at the Best Buy on Nixon Drive. The card had previously been stolen in Moorestown.
April 14
Theft — Someone stole a storage box containing equipment for the Mount Laurel girls’ softball team from the Spencer Park Complex, police said. The box, which was chained to a pole, contained items worth a total of $550.
Criminal mischief — Police said a pool liner and three vehicle tires were slashed at a home on the 100 block of Downing Court sometime between 9:45 p.m. April 13 and 9 a.m. April 14. Damage is estimated at $1,000.
Theft, 4 p.m. — An Ohio resident staying at the Rodeway Inn told police their cell phone, valued at $600, was stolen from their hotel room.
April 15
Arrest (hindering) — Police arrested Joshua D. Taylor, 26, of the 2500 block of Yarmouth Lane, after he provided false information to police investigating a disturbance in order to hinder his apprehension for outstanding warrants, according to a report. He was served with criminal complaints and released on $2,500 bail.
Burglary (Ramblewood Farms) — Police said an unknown amount of jewelry was stolen from a residence on the 700 block of Grant Road between 11 p.m. April 14 and 10:20 a.m. April 15. The thief broke in through a window, causing an estimated $50 damage, police said.
April 16
Attempted burglary, 10:37 a.m. — Someone tried to force their way into a home on the 600 block of Walton Avenue through a window, activating the burglar alarm, police said. The break-in attempt caused approximately $250 damage.
April 19
Arrest (DWI), 11:19 p.m. — Police arrested Brian J. Kiernan, 35, of the unit block of Pine Cove, during an investigation into a motor vehicle collision on Route 73 at Ramblewood Parkway, according to a report. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing.
Arrest (Summit Apartments), 10:46 p.m. — Police arrested Alexisy M. Torres, 18, of the 100 block of Faith Court, and Rashaun A. Hawes, 20, of the 100 block of Lemmon Road, Pemberton, during an investigation into a fight that involved a handgun in the area of Evans Court, police said. Torres and Hawes were both found to be in possession of imitation firearms. Torres was charged with possession of an imitation firearm and released pending a court hearing. Hawes was charged with possession of an imitation firearm and hindering after he identified himself as someone else during the investigation, police said. Hawes was committed to Burlington County Jail in lieu of $3,000 bail.
Arrest (falsifying records), 2:15 p.m. — Police arrested James A. Taylor, 29, of the 300 block of Lakehurst Road, Browns Mills, and Gabrielle V. Soco, 22, of the unit block of Verbena Street, Browns Mills, after Taylor unlawfully purchased items from an undercover officer while employed at the We Buy Gold store at 4201 Church Road, police said. Soco forged documents during the same transaction. Taylor was charged with falsifying records and conspiracy to commit forgery and committed to Burlington County Jail on $5,000 bail. Soco was charged with forgery and released pending a court hearing.
