Rage Room Coming To Moorestown Mall Will Let You Destroy Everything

At Breaker 213, patrons can let it all out while smashing glass,​ electronics, furniture and more.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — A new business is coming to Moorestown Mall where if you buy it, you break it.

Breaker 213 is in development at the mall. The establishment is part of a growing activity called "rage rooms," where patrons can let loose and smash up objects in a private, secure area.

It's uncertain when Breaker 213 may open. But the owner just received approval to begin construction, according to a spokesperson for PREIT, the mall's parent company.

Few details about Breaker 213 are currently available. But according to its website, the business will have four rooms with individual themes. Patrons will be able to smash glass, appliances, electronics, furniture and more.

Protective gear is provided. Kids younger than 12 will be able to knock down foam materials.

The first-known rage room opened during the Great Recession — a Tokyo business called The Venting Place, designed for stressed workers, according to WHYY. Since then, they've opened throughout the world.

The activity hit New Jersey in 2018, when Rage Room opened in Hackensack. Since then, several have opened around the state.
