Services Set For Longtime Moorestown Resident, OLGC Parishioner

Flora Anna Gottardi (nee Sciullo), age 81, died on November 7, 2021, at the Samaritan Hospice Center in Mt. Holly with her family by her side. Flora was a resident of Moorestown, NJ, with her husband of 18 years.

After attending Trenton State College (now The College of New Jersey), she worked as personnel manager for the Prudential Insurance Co. office in Millville, NJ. Later, she worked in customer service for Don Paparone Homes in Cherry Hill, NJ.

Flora was a long-time parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Moorestown. She loved to cook, read, and go to the shore with her husband, children, and grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with her nephews Gregory and Matthew, as well as with her many cousins.

Over the years, Flora valued the companionship of many dogs, but favored German shepherds, and, in particular, one named Ruger.

Flora, devoted wife of Ronald Gottardi, is survived by her son Ted (Sharon) Smarzynski, dear brother Daniel (Linda) Sciullo, and grandchildren Abi, Benjamin, and Hannah Smarzynski. She is also survived by members of Ronald’s extended family, including his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild, all of whom were dear to Flora.

The family will be hosting a visitation Monday, November 15, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Lewis Funeral Home, 78 E. Main St., Moorestown, NJ. A Celebration of Life Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish Church, 42 W. Main St., Moorestown, NJ 08057.
