St. Paddy's DWIs Keep Police Busy

Arrest (possession of marijuana), 10:15 a.m. — Police arrested Michael P. Rivera, 32, and Diana L. Grady, 31, both of the 3-20 block of Rockaway, NY, following a suspicious activity call at the Doubletree Hotel on Fellowship Road, according to a report. Rivera and Grady were both charged with possession of marijuana (under 50 grams) and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Theft, 10-11:35 p.m. — Someone stole a coat and its contents, valued at approximately $180, from the coat room of Prospectors on Route 38, according to police.

Arrest (DWI), 1:08 a.m. — Police arrested Tarik U. Perry, 25, of the 5500 block of Aberdeen Drive, after he was stopped on Route 38, according to a report. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Arrest (DWI), 2:34 a.m. — Police arrested Vernard O. Belvin, 41, of the 200 block of East 31st Street, Patterson, after he was stopped on Route 73, according to a report. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Arrest (DWI), 2:44 a.m. — Police arrested Faith L. Bass, 48, of the unit block of River Drive, Delran, after she was stopped on Fellowship Road, according to a report. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Theft, 7 p.m. — Someone stole a wallet and its contents, valued at $20, from a shopping cart at Target, police said.  

Arrest (DWI), 10:27 p.m. — Police arrested Eyal Arev, 50, of the 100 block of Peregrine Drive, Voorhees, after he was stopped on Route 73, according to a report. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Arrest (drug possession), 10:36 p.m. — Police arrested Katherine Steinmetz, 21, of the 200 block of Countryside Lane, during an investigation into a suspicious vehicle in the area of Countryside Lane. Steinmetz was charged with possession of crack cocaine, possession of marijuana (under 50 grams) and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police, and released pending a municipal court hearing.  

Arrest (DWI), 11:03 p.m. — Police arrested a 16-year-old township resident for driving while intoxicated after he was stopped on Waverly Avenue, according to a report. He was charged with DWI and released pending a municipal court hearing.
