Recently, we were notified of stickers that were placed on public property promoting white supremacist propaganda. We can confirm that the chief of police was notified and is aware. On any day, this is unacceptable, but it is particularly abhorrent now when we are celebrating the history and contributions of Black Americans. We, the Moorestown Township Councilmembers, unequivocally denounce these messages of ignorance and racism.
Moorestown is a safe and welcoming place for people of all races and ethnicities. We pride ourselves on our diverse and generous community, our kindness, inclusiveness and compassion. We remain united in our commitment to equity and inclusion and will not tolerate the vandalism of our public spaces with messages of racism and white supremacy.
