Vietnam Veteran, Attorney From Moorestown Passes At 73
Eric Jones, an adored husband, father and grandfather, recently died at his home in Moorestown.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Eric Jones, adored husband, father and grandfather, died on Friday, November 26, 2021, surrounded by his family at his home in Moorestown, NJ.
Son of Elsie (Gehring) and Harry Jones, he is survived by his wife of 53 years Alix Nelson Jones; his
brothers Richard (Wanda) and Robert (Patricia) Jones; his children Alyson and Adam Jones; and his grandchildren Evelyn Pattillo, Emma Pattillo, and Luna Jones. He was 76.
Eric, known to friends and family as E.J., was an Eagle Scout, longtime resident of Haddonfield, NJ, and a graduate of Haddonfield Memorial High School (1963) and the University of Alabama (1967).

He volunteered to serve in the Army during the Vietnam War, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant. He earned his law degree from Rutgers School of Law – Camden in 1973, received his LL.M. in Tax from the Beasely School of Law at Temple University in 1980, and practiced law around the world until his retirement in 1997.
E.J. was known for his love of the theater, especially Shakespeare, and passion for the Alabama Crimson Tide Football Team. Roll Tide!

Visitation took place Friday, December 3, 2021 at Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Eric’s memory to the Food Bank of South Jersey.
